The Fall and Redemption:A story of Neglect and

Revival:

Sadiq Garh Palace is now a victim of its own grandeur, after these decades the ex-palace here faced many hurdles. However after the abolition of Princely states in Pakistan, this palace was left derelict. The palace was crumbling, and the treasures contained in its grand halls & rooms were at jeopardy of being lost. Still, the building is hardly disposable and preservation efforts are afoot.

To protect the historical and cultural importance of this places, several organizations along with government and Nawabs descendants are working to bring back Awadh glory by initiating various restoration works. The work serves to bring back the grandeur of the palace, and prepare it for its future as a museum (and a cultural center). Nevertheless a true labour of love, the restoration is tough work all with an eye to preserving the heritage which Bahawalpur wears like corsage for she aims to bequeath as rich legacy forward.
